JAKARTA - Marselino Ferdinand has the opportunity to appear for the U-23 Indonesian national team at the 2025 SEA Games. Previously, Marselino was not the choice of Patrick Kluivert in the senior Indonesian national team for the 2026 World Cup Qualification Fourth Round in Saudi Arabia.

With a quiet situation, the opportunity for Marselino to enter the U-23 Indonesian national team's summons list is very large. Later this age group will be led by coach Indra Sjafri and will start training on October 3, 2025.

PSSI Secretary General, Yunus Nusi, said the names who were called to participate in the training camp would be known on October 3, 2025.

Yunus asked the public to be patient because Indra Sjafri himself was only appointed to lead the team.

"Later on the 3rd (October 2025) yes," said Yunus Nusi in Jakarta about the possibility of Marselino being summoned to Indonesia U-23 quoted Tuesday, September 30, 2025.

Apart from Marselino, there are several names of players who can still appear in the 2025 SEA Games who are not called to the Indonesian national team, such as Rafael Struick and Adrian Wibowo.

Although it has not been detailed who will be summoned, PSSI has submitted 50 lists of names while players will appear at the 2025 SEA Games.

Previously, PSSI had inaugurated Indra Sjafri as coach of the U-23 Indonesian national team on Monday, September 29, 2025, in Jakarta.

Indra Sjafri was again appointed as the special Indonesia U-23 coach for the 2025 SEA Games. In the first training camp (TC) on October 3, 2025, he will call 32 players.
