Tuchel Puts Aside Criticism About British Game In 2026 World Cup Qualifiers

JAKARTA - The England National Team (Timnas) continues to receive criticism about their game in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers.

Even though he has always won and has not conceded in four matches, the fans are still not impressed. However, Thomas Tuchel did not want to heed.

He insists he has been enjoying his work with the Three Lions since taking over from Gareth Southgate in January 2025.

"It's a privilege. It's not difficult, it's a dream. It's a challenge I want. It's a privilege that I got this opportunity."

"I can only convince everyone, like on the first day, I will do everything, really everything, to be a success," said Tuchel.

Furthermore, the German coach considered that criticism that came to his troops was normal and did not need to be taken lightly.

"I like every minute. Supervision, criticism, and opinion are normal. However, working with the players is a privilege and it is a dream," he said.

England will face Serbia in Belgrade on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, early morning WIB. Tuchel had many choices of players because everything was available after Marc Guehi addressed the groin problem.

The match against Serbia is also a place to prove that Britain will win convincingly as supporters want.

So far, England is at the top of Group K of the European Zone 2026 World Cup Qualifiers. They won over Albania (2-0), beat Latvia (3-0), silenced Andora twice (1-0 and 2-0).
