Facing Hong Kong Open 2025, Apriyani Rahayu Comeback Duet With Siti Fadia

JAKARTA - Indonesian women's doubles badminton player, Apriyani Rahayu, welcomed the Hong Kong Open 2025 which will take place on September 9-14. Because at that moment, he was re-paired with Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti.

The Hong Kong Open 2025 tournament is the third time they have made a comeback together. This is not the first time working in the field, Apriyani said she was happy and hoped that their cooperation could be stronger to achieve maximum results.

"I feel happy, excited to be back in pairs with Fadia. If we can be stronger than before, we can grow up and do better results too," said Apriyani Rahayu in an official statement from PBSI quoted on Sunday, September 7.

Apriyani/Fadia are indeed a duet couple on the field who have good performance. However, in the past year, their cooperation was often dismantled by the federation. The two of them were last paired up at the Orleans Masters and All England 2025, after that Fadia was paired with Lanny Tria Mayasari and Apriyani with Febi.

Long before that, Apri and Fadia had also been separated for a long time after their first appearance together in 2022. Two years of duet, after the 2024 Paris Olympics, both of them had to be separated.

At that time, Apriyani had to pull out because it needed time to recover. This made Fadia then duet with Lanny, who previously had a duet with Ribka but chose to withdraw from the PBSI National Training Center.

After being duet again with Fadia, Apriyani also welcomed it. Both even admitted that they were in careful preparation to return to show off in international badminton tournaments.

"Preparatoryly, there weren't many because Fadia had a World Championship yesterday. But we already know each other's characters, so try to restore that memory in the field," he said about readiness.
