Thom Haye's Reason For Accepting Persib's Loans: Big Team With High Fanatism

Thom Haye is very excited about his big name Persib and supporters (doc. Persib).

JAKARTA - Persib Bandung became the club chosen by Thom Haye to continue his career. Having had the status without a club after his contract at Almere City ended, Haye revealed the reasons for his choice.

The Indonesian national team midfielder officially anchored to Persib Bandung on August 27, 2025. Together with Maung Bandung, Haye wore the number 33 jersey for a contract duration of two seasons.

The player of Solo, Central Java, and Minahasa descent, North Sulawesi, then revealed the reasons behind the choice to accept the faint Persib Bandung.

According to Haye, Persib is a big club and has fanatical supporters, two things that are of more value.

"After discussing with people, relatives, and family, I decided to take this step."

"Persib is a big team with extraordinary Bobotoh fanaticism. I am certainly proud to be part of Persib," said Thom Haye, quoted from the Persib website, Monday, September 1, 2025.

Thom Haye admitted that he was amazed by the support that Bobotoh gave to Persib. He was even more excited after getting many messages from the Maung Bandung fans.

"I know a lot. I always follow the development of Indonesian football, the competition, and already know several players. Of course it is not difficult to get to know Persib."

"Before it was official, there were many Bobotoh who sent me messages on social media. It was an extraordinary beauty, passion, and fanaticism," said Thom Haye.

Officially part of Persib, Haye actually had a chance to debut in front of Bobotoh in the fourth week of the 2025/2026 Super League.
