JAKARTA - Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Zainudin Amali received a visit from Deputy Governor of Papua Klemen Tinal. There are a number of matters discussed including preparations for the National Sports Week (PON) XXX in Papua

Another thing that is also a discussion related to the sport of roller skates where Klemen Tinal also serves as Chairman of the All-Indonesia Roller Skate Sports Association (PERSEROSI).

"This afternoon, the Deputy Governor of Papua, Mr. Klemen Tinal, had the opportunity to meet with us. There are several things discussed because he is in addition to the deputy governor, as well as the chairman of the Perserosi. The agenda conveys that there is now a Skateboard team now in America preparing for the Olympics and about the readiness of pon," said Minister amali, Monday, May 11.

Minister of Finance Amali said, based on the report from Wagub Papua, preparations for the implementation of PON are no problem and will be held according to the schedule that has been set.

"Even the efforts of the provincial government to make the surrounding community also protected from pandemic. There's a policy for vaccines. Later he said that Papua is ready for the implementation of PON and invite to come to Papua," concluded The Minister of Amali.

Related to the vaccination program for the community around the pon cluster site, the Minister of Health confirmed that the Ministry of Health has committed to help the vaccination process.

"Certainly the commitment of the Minister of Health, all (communities around the PON venue) will be vaccinated in accordance with the target," he explained.

Meanwhile, Deputy Governor of Papua Klemen Tinal said preparations for the implementation of PON in 4 locations in Papua, namely Jayapura, Merauke Timika, and Jayapura districts have been confirmed almost 100 percent. Especially the venue and lodging.

"Everything goes according to schedule. So some have reached 100 percent, some are 50 percent. But we hope three months before pon happens already up to 100 percent of the existing venues are already 90 percent completed. Only 10 percent," he explained.

According to him, currently only live sports equipment. Therefore, it continues to coordinate with the Ministry of Transport and PB PON because the procurement of equipment must also comply with the standards that have been set. "This year we did that equipment. Hope We 3 months before pon all has finished staying maintenance,"Hope Klemen.

He also ensured that the situation in pon venues was safe and conducive. He hopes that participants from various regions are not affected by the unsafe news of Papua.
