Tottenham Battling with Arsenal for Eberechi Eze

JAKARTA - Tottenham Hotspur is considering competing with Arsenal for Crystal Palace forward Eberechi Eze.

The 27-year-old still has two years remaining on his contract, which originally contained a £68 million (approximately Rp1.3 trillion) release clause.

It's currently unclear whether that clause has expired—it expires in August 2025. Therefore, Spurs are working to understand the parameters of a potential deal.

While Spurs appear serious about Eze, they haven't slowed down their approach to Manchester City's Savinho. This means Tottenham could be interested in bringing in both players.

Meanwhile, Arsenal have been monitoring Eze for some time but have so far shown no desire to pay the £68 million fee.

The Gunners would ideally need to trim their squad before pursuing a deal for Eze.

So far, Fabio Vieira, Reiss Nelson, Leandro Trossard, and Oleksandr Zinchenko are among the players available for release.

Palace, on the other hand, are reluctant to lose Eze, but his contract expires in 2027 and there is no indication the England international will sign a new deal to stay at Selhurst Park.

Eze played a key role in Palace's FA Cup triumph at the end of last season and lifted the Community Shield trophy after defeating Liverpool at Wembley on Sunday, August 10, 2025.

He has scored 34 goals and provided 23 assists in 146 Premier League appearances since joining Palace from Queen's Park Rangers in 2020.
