The Indonesian Women's National Team Enters Group A Of The 2025 AFF U-16 Cup

The Indonesian U-16 Women's National Team will be in Group A of the 2025 AFF Women's U-16 Cup (doc. Indonesian national team).

JAKARTA - After the group stage draw, the U-16 Women's National Team was in Group A of the 2025 AFF U-16 Cup.

The tournament will take place at Manahan Stadium, Solo, on August 20-29, 2025. Indonesia, which has the status of the host, will face Timor Leste U-16 and Malaysia U-16 in the group stage.

The Indonesian U-16 Women's National Team must clearly provide the best performance to achieve maximum results in this prestigious Southeast Asian event. The coaching team will finalize the team's preparations, both physically, tactically, and mentally competing.

This participation in the 2025 AFF U-16 Cup is also an important momentum for Garuda Pertiwi Muda to gain international experience.

Indonesia will start the group stage against Timor Leste on August 20, 2025 at 19.30 WIB at Manahan Stadium. Furthermore, on August 24, 2025, the Red and White Team will close the preliminary match against Malaysia at the same stadium at 19.30 WIB.

Each group winner will qualify for the semifinals. One remaining ticket will be contested through the best runners-up path.

Since participating in the first edition of 2009, Indonesia has never been able to qualify from the group stage. Garuda Pertiwi Muda was also absent in the fourth edition of 2019.

Of the total four times, Thailand is very superior to three consecutive titles (2017, 2018, and 2019). One other title belongs to Australia (2009).
