JAKARTA - Barcelona has combined their new away kit for the 2025/2026 season with a touch of sporting immortality through the official announcement of a partnership with Kobe Bryant's signature brand.

The Mamba Mentality is the name given by the late NBA icon, Bryant, to his personal philosophy, which he outlined in his autobiography, The Mamba Mentality: How I Play.

Five years after the passing of the LA Lakers legend, the five-time NBA champion's legacy lives on in his inspirational approach.

The partnership with Nike is designed to ensure the Mamba Mentality remains relevant for future generations of young sports stars.

The collaboration with Barcelona, a first in the world of football, features a new apparel collection that includes several pairs of sneakers, slippers, streetwear, and of course, the Catalan club's new away kit, designed with Kobe's incredible legacy in mind.

With Bryant's three-pronged Mamba logo replacing the usual Nike swoosh on the chest, the jerseys are gold and purple, a nod to the Lakers shooting guard's on-court appearance during his heyday.

There's also a snakeskin jacquard motif woven into the material, as if enveloping the wearer in reptilian armor.

The Barcelona crest and Mamba logo have also been affixed to the shirt using textured silicone—which has been stamped with the same snakeskin texture.

Meanwhile, the ensemble is completed with black shorts and socks also emblazoned with the Mamba emblem.

The 2025/2026 away jersey was launched with a promotional video showing several members of the Barcelona men's and women's teams performing one of their famous rondo drills.

Meanwhile, players like Gavi and Alexia Putellas practice quick passing to perfect their precise positioning.
