Gyokeres Tells Why It's Easy To Choose Arsenal Over Manchester United

JAKARTA - Viktor Gyokeres hinted that he dismissed several other clubs before completing his 73 million euros move to Arsenal.

The 27-year-old finally completed a long transfer match last week by joining the north London club.

According to several reports in the media, many Arsenal rivals are scrambling to get their signatures.

Manchester United and Juventus are among the clubs monitoring the situation after he became one of Europe's most popular strikers, having scored 97 goals in 102 games for Sporting CP.

When asked in his first interview during Arsenal's pre-season visit to Asia, Gyokores emphasized that choosing Arsenal was an easy and appropriate decision than Manchester United or Juventus.

"Yes, I think you can always decide on your future. Of course there are other clubs too (who are interested), but I don't think it's a difficult choice for me this time."

"I don't think returning to England is always in my mind. However, of course it could be an option when I was in Portugal, to come back."

"Obviously it's the best league in the world. So, of course playing in the Premier League has always been the goal. So, when I feel it's time, I don't hesitate to come back," said Gyokores.

Gyokeres further hinted at his belief that the Gunners would win the title in the 2025/2026 season.

He has seen how ambitions radiate from all elements of the club. Therefore, he wants all the players to unite to realize the trophy targets, especially the Premier League.

"To be honest, I think you need everyone on the pitch. You need 11 players on the pitch and players on the bench who can have an impact."

"You need a whole team to unite and play together. So, I think you have a very good chance to have a great season," said Gyokores.
