Persib Bandung Closes Season With A Dramatic 3-2 Win Over Persis Solo

Persib Bandung ended the 2024/2025 Liga 1 season with a sweet note after winning a dramatic 3-2 victory over Persis Solo in the final match which was held at the Bandung Lautan Api Stadium (GBLA), Saturday, May 24 afternoon. This victory also confirmed Persib's status as the winner of Liga 1 this season.

In front of tens of thousands of Bojan Hodak's men appeared aggressive from the first minute. Opportunity after opportunity was created, ranging from Beckham Putra's individual actions in the 16th minute to two opportunities for Tyronne Del Pino through a free kick that hit the crossbar in the 33rd and 45th minutes.

Maung Bandung's dominance finally paid off during the extra time of the first half. Gustavo Franca's header took advantage of a cross that goalkeeper Gianluca Pandeynuwu failed to anticipate, making Persib 1-0 up at halftime.

Not relaxing the attack, Persib doubled their lead in the 57th minute through Tyronne Del Pino who successfully completed the opportunity in the penalty box. A third goal followed in the 80th minute, this time through the mainstay striker David da Silva who took advantage of the ball from the goalkeeper's edge.

However, Persis Solo came back in the last minute. Lautaro Belleggia scored with a white spot in the 87th minute, followed by Sho Yamamoto's goal in the 90th minute which had made the GBLA public tense. However, until the final whistle sounded, the 3-2 score remained for the hosts' victory.

This match is the perfect closing for Persib Bandung, which has confirmed the title before the last week. The dominance and consistency throughout the season are the keys to the success of this club from Kembang City in reclaiming the national football throne.
