Petrokimia Defeats Electric But Hasn't Locked The Grand Final Place

JAKARTA - The women's volleyball team Gresik Petrokimia Pupuk Indonesia beat Jakarta Electric PLN 3-0 (26-24, 25-18, 25-20) in the final round of four PLN Mobile Proliga 2025 at Sritex Sports Center, Solo, Central Java, Saturday.

The victory made Petrokimia move up to second in the standings with 9 points, but has not yet locked the place in the grand final because it is only 1 point away from Jakarta Popsivo Polwan who collected 8 points and still has one last match in the final four against Jakarta Pertamina Enduro who leads the standings with 10 points.

In the match against Electric PLN, Petrokimia, which relied on two foreign players Julia Sangiacomo and Hanna Davyskiba, immediately attacked at the start of the first set. After intense competition points, Petrokimia took the lead when widening the 9-5 point gap.

Electric PLN, who often made service mistakes, made Petrokimia continue to lead until 16-12. Coach Chamnan Dokmai's children did not give up in pursuit through the onslaught of Robinson Cook and Polina Shemanova until they managed to equalize the score 22-22.
