Hojlund And Garnacho Goals Important Actor Manchester United Beat Leicester

JAKARTA - Rasmus Hojlund and Alejandro Garnacho became important actors for Manchester United in winning a 3-0 victory over Leicester City who was fighting in the Premier League on Monday, March 17, 2025.

In addition, Bruno Fernandes had already ended the goal drought by contributing to the closing goal in the win.

The visitors started well, with Christian Eriksen's curling shot shaking the post before Hojlund's first goal in 22 appearances in all competitions putting the Red Devils ahead.

Garnacho managed to get the ball into the net at the start of the second half, but the referee ruled out a good finish for offside.

The 20-year-old did not have to wait long to score his first goal in 24 games in all competitions. He received Fernandes' pass before throwing the ball into the net.

Fernandes, who was in good form, did not want to lose to his best goal at the end of the game which gave Manchester United one more reason to cheer after scoring three goals in Europa League 4-1 over Real Sociedad in the middle of last week.

For Leicester, relegation seems inevitable as they become the first team in England's major league history to lose seven home games in a row without scoring a goal.

They are in second place from bottom with 17 points from 29 matches, nine points from the safe zone.

"I think in both penalty boxes the differences in quality can be seen. The efficiency in solving opportunities and staying in important moments in the game."

"Overall, if you look at the metric of the game, there's not much to do. However, obviously the efficiency exists," said Leicester Manager Ruud van Nistelrooy.
