JAKARTA - The Indonesian national team officials revealed the condition of the players before leaving for Australia. The meeting was the seventh matchday of Group C in the third round of the 2026 World Cup Qualification.
In the existing schedule, the Indonesian national team will travel to Sydney on March 20. Ahead of the match, the Garuda Squad will depart for Kangaroo Country four days before the match or Sunday, March 16.
Prior to the preparations for the match, Patrick Kluivert as the coach had decided on 23 names to be brought in. However, that number will be divided into several groups to leave in a few waves to Australia.
A total of eight players who have survived the domestic league are known to have gathered since Saturday, March 15. Before heading to Australia, they have also undergone medical and physical preparation and examination, as a result they are declared combat ready.
"We conducted an examination related to illness, related to injury, related to physical examination," said Indonesian national team doctor Alfan Asyhar in a video upload on Instagram quoted on Sunday, March 16.
"The result we get is, players are in conditions who are ready to take part in training, and hopefully everyone can enter the match without any injuries," Alfan added.
The physical coach of the Indonesian national team, Beautiful Jacoba also gave a variety of information about the condition of the players. According to Jacoba, they were all in good condition even though they were tired of fasting Ramadan.
