All England 2025: Rehan/Gloria Run Aground In Quarter Finals

Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto/Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja stopped in the quarter-finals of All England 2025 (doc. PBSI).

JAKARTA - Mixed doubles Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto / Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja returned home in the quarter-finals of All England 2025.

Their move was stopped by fifth seed Feng Yan Zhe/Wei Ya Xin from China in a two-game straight battle 10-21 and 14-21 at Utilita Arena, Birmingham, England, on Friday, March 14, 2025, WIB night.

"Although the game is not up to expectations, it is not what we want, we are proud of this result. We appreciate it for ourselves," Rehan said in an official statement.

All England is the third tournament in three consecutive weeks played by Rehan/Gloria. Previously, they played at the German Open and Orleans Masters 2025, both of which were level Super 300.

In both events, Rehan/Gloria managed to enter the final round. However, unfortunately they had to settle for closing the trip with the status of runner-up.

"Next week we still have a duty to the Polish International Challenge. We want the best results, definitely want to win too."

"We can be sad today, but tomorrow we have to practice again," said Rehan.

Rehan/Gloria's journey at All England 2025 is quite extraordinary. They started the first half by repatriating the second seed from Malaysia, Chen Tang Jie/Toh Ee Wei.

Rehan/Gloria then managed to take revenge on Jesper Toft/Amalie Magelund, the Danish pair who beat them in the Orleans Masters 2025 final.

Gloria had a bit of difficulty accepting their defeat and looking back at the game. He believed that their journey should have gone further.

"I was quite emotional because I tried to fight against myself. Indeed, conditions must have dropped for three weeks, but I saw an opportunity," he said.
