Venus Williams Gets Wildcard For Indian Wells 2025

JAKARTA The former world number one, Venus Williams, has received a wildcard to appear Indian Wells which will take place next month in California, United States.

Venus got wildcard with tennis player Petra Kvitova. The 34-year-old previously missed the tournament because he was pregnant.

"Wimbledon's two-time Petra Kvitova winner and seven-time Grand Slam singles champion Venus Williams have been awarded a wildcard to Indian Wells," the WTA website wrote.

This is Venus' first game after almost a year since she has not competed. This makes the 44-year-old player slump to 974 in the world.

Venus has not played a WTA Tour level match since losing in the first round of the Miami Open in March 2024. In addition, he has not won a match at the tour level since August 2023.
