At Parma 3-1, Juventus Pushed To Third Position

JAKARTA - Juventus rose to third place in the standings after winning the match in Week 32 of the Italian League on Thursday morning WIB.

Entertaining Parma at the Allianz Stadium, Juventus came from behind to beat the visitor 3-1.

Gaston Brugman gave the visitors the lead in the 25th minute with a free kick which left aging goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon dead.

However, Parma continued their poor trend as the team that dropped the most points from a match despite holding the lead first.

Two minutes from halftime, the trend reoccurred, as Juve were able to equalize through Alex Sandro's volley in a corner, following a header from Matthis de Ligt.

Then in the 47th minute, Juve completely turned the lead through Sandro's second free-standing goal without control at the far post to head in a measured cross from Juan Cuadrado's post.

Parma almost made it back to level in the 64th minute when Jordan Osorio headed home Brugman's corner, but the ball was blocked by Arthur Melo who used his head at the near post area.

Four minutes later, it was Juventus who widened their lead with De Ligt's powerful header completing Cuadrado's corner.

The 3-1 score lasted until dispersal, bringing Juventus up to third with a collection of 65 points, displacing Atalanta (64) who had just played a day ago.

Meanwhile, Parma (20), stuck in second place from bottom of the standings and needed 12 points to return to the safe zone, according to the official Italian League page.
