League 1 And 2 Permits Determined By The Menpora Cup, Amali: Persija And Persib Supporters Obey The Prokes

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora RI) Zainudin Amali held a meeting with the Chairman of the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) Mochamad Iriawan and the President Director of PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB) at the Kemenpora Building, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, April 21.

After conducting a closed meeting, Menpora Amali revealed that the General Chairperson of the PSSI and LIB as the organizers reported several things related to the Menpora Cup pre-season competition. Especially the preparation for the final match which will roll on April 25 and preparations for the closing of this event.

In addition to the Menpora Cup issue, this meeting also discussed the preparation for the League I and League 2 competitions in Indonesia which had been suspended for one year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Various things have been reported and the general chairman also conveyed the preparations for the closing of the Menpora Cup pre-season tournament as well as briefly conveying what will be prepared for the rolling of the upcoming league 1 and league 2 competitions for the 2021-2022 season," said Menpora Amali when press conference at the Kemenpora Media Center room, Wednesday, April 21.

According to the Menpora Amali, the permits for the League I and League 2 competitions will be determined by the success of the Menpora Cup, which only has three more matches to play. Therefore, he asked Persija and Persib supporters to adhere to health protocols by watching from home.

"Especially for Persib and Persija supporters, your favorite team will compete in the final, so I ask for the same discipline as the preliminary round, the last semifinal," he hoped.

Menpora Amali asked the supporter leaders to block their members if anyone wanted to come to the stadium or hold a show together.

"My hope is for the teams that will compete in presenting quality matches as well as entertaining. Because our audience has been in an orderly month, so give them a treat with a good, interesting spectacle, thus paying off what they have done in an orderly manner watching at home, "he explained.

Meanwhile, PSSI Chairman Mochamad Iriawan said that until now all Menpora Cup activities were running according to safe and orderly health protocols set by the government.

"There are no problems that arise, everything is on time, everything is well scheduled, including we also report how the participation of supporters who are so obedient to the rules given by the government and the federation. There is almost no movement of supporters to the stadium which makes us proud that Indonesian supporters are amazingly orderly, "he concluded.

Meanwhile, regarding the preparations for League I and League 2, Iriawan said that his party was currently carrying out a number of administrative preparations, especially those related to correspondence.

"We are preparing correspondence, whether it's a recommendation to the Minister, then the Covid Task Force and of course later to the police, where we will try to roll back between early July, around the 3rd. That includes the fast for the 2021/2022 competition until March 2002, "he explained

He hopes the Menpora Cup pre-season competition will run well until the close because it will determine the license for the League competition.

"If everything goes well, God willing, we are optimistic that the government can grant permission for League I and League II competitions. Once again, the Menpora Cup is a test for the federation whether it can implement health protocols, "he concluded
