PBSI Gets Many Candidates For Pelatnas Athletes From The Talent Guide Team

JAKARTA The 2025 PBSI National Selection (Selection) has been completed at the PBSI Cipayung National Training Center, East Jakarta. As a result, the champions from five sectors have been confirmed to be included in the second phase of the PBSI National Training squad.

The five champions are Kenzie Yoe/Bernadine Anindya Wardana (Djarum Kudus) from mixed cadets doubles, Dalila Aghnia Puteri (Djarum Kudus) from women's singles, Muhamad Yusuf (PB AIC Bekasi City) from men's singles, Bernadine Anindya Wardana/Nahya Muhyifa (Djarum Kudus) from women's doubles, and Anselmusreagit Fredy Prasetya/Pulung Ramadhan (Djarum Kudus) from men's doubles.

From the names above, there are still several other names that are under the supervision of the Talent Guide Team chaired by Eng Hian as the Head of Binpres Pelatnas PBSI with the deputy chairman of Umar Djaidi (Head of PBSI Regional Achievement Development), and Mulyo Handoyo (Head of PBSI National Team Coach).

This team consists of Hendrawan (PB Djarum), Bambang Supriyanto (PB Jaya Raya), Harry Hartono (PB Exist Badminton Club), and Yoga Ukikasah (PB Mutiara Cardinal).

The monitoring is based on several criteria including achievements, appearances at the PBSI National Selection, individual strength, speed, posture, fighting power in the field, and future prospects to be able to compete in the international arena.

"All athletes who are monitored have the opportunity to enter the PBSI National Training Center. They will take further tests that will be included in the assessment."

"After all the results are collected, we will hold a return meeting with Deputy General Chair I Taufik Hidayat and the coaches to determine who is entitled to enter," said Eng Hian.

The results of monitoring by the Talent Guide Team were recorded as 39 nine athletes who were included in the 2025 PBSI National Selection.

In detail, six men's singles athletes and six women's singles athletes, 13 men's doubles athletes/mixed doubles athletes, and 14 women's doubles athletes/mixed doubles athletes.

The next stage they will take a follow-up test which will take place at the Cijantung Kopassus Headquarters from 16-22 February 2025.

Starting Sunday, February 16, 2025, athletes have been required to enter the Kopassus Headquarters at 15.00 WIB.

Furthermore, on February 17-22, 2025, the athletes will take medical examinations, physical examinations, physical tests, and psychological tests.

"The results of this follow-up test will produce data that will be reviewed by the coaches and will be used as a consideration for recruiting players."

"So, it is hoped that this recruitment can produce objective assessment results because everything is based on data," said Eng Hian.
