Jamal Musiala Signs New Contract Until 2030 With Bayern Munich

JAKARTA - Jamal Musiala has signed a new contract at Bayern Munich which will keep him at the Allianz Arena until June 2030.

Musiala, 21, emerged as one of Bayern Munich and Germany's biggest stars after he made it into the first team at the age of 17.

The attacker left Chelsea's academy to move to the Bundesliga giant club in 2020.

He played for Germany and England at a young level, but pledged allegiance to Germany, where his mother came from, in 2021.

"I am very happy. Bayern Munich is one of the biggest clubs in the world. I am taking the first step in professional football here."

Musiala, which previously attracted Manchester City's interest, has scored 58 goals and contributed 38 assists in 193 games for Bayern Munich.

He was the team's second-largest goalscorer last season with 13 goals, behind Harry Kane (44 goals).

He has won four Bundesliga titles and five other major awards during his time in Bavaria.

Musiala's new contract is the third player Bayern Munich has convinced him to stay at the club in recent weeks.

Canadian international Alphonso Davies signed a new contract on February 4, 2025, which runs until the end of the 2029/2030 season, ending Real Madrid's long-term pursuit of the player.

Davies' new contract comes a day after goalkeeper Manuel Neuer signed a one-year contract extension that will ensure he remains at the club after his 40th birthday.
