JAKARTA Indonesia has confirmed that it will qualify for the quarter-finals of the 2025 Asian Mixed Team Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championship (BAMTC) as group winners.

The position of winners of Group B was secured by Indonesia after temporarily winning with a score of 2-1 in the match which took place at the Conson Gamesium on Thursday, February 13, 2025.

Indonesia locked the advantage after the women's singles badminton player Komang Ayu Cahya Dewi managed to beat Karupthevan Letshaana in two straight games, 21-12 and 21-19.

"In terms of today's game, it's quite good, but the evaluation is that I have to keep my focus and the tempo of the match," said Komang after the match in an official statement received.

This result is indeed what is needed by Indonesia in the last group match. Two wins alone are enough for Komang and his friends to dominate the group.

Previously, Indonesia's first victory was won by mixed doubles Dejan Ferdinansyah/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti. The pair beat Goh Soon Huat/Shevon Jemie Lai via rubber games 17-21, 21-13, and 21-18.

Meanwhile, Yohanes Saut Marcellyno, who was in the third party, failed to increase Indonesia's advantage. He was defeated by Leong Jun Hao in a three-game, 21-11, 20-22, and 12-21 battle.

BAMTC 2025 was attended by 12 countries spread evenly across four groups. Only group winners and runners-up are entitled to tickets to the quarter-finals.

Malaysia needs a victory against Indonesia if they want to qualify. If they lose, the runner-up position in Group B will be secured by Hong Kong.
