The U-20 Indonesian National Team Leaves For China For The 2025 U-20 Asian Cup On Sunday Morning

The U-20 Indonesian national team has left for China to take part in the 2025 U-20 Asian Cup (doc. PSSI).

JAKARTA - The U-20 Indonesian national team coach, Indra Sjafri, revealed that his team will leave for China on Sunday, February 9, 2025, early in the morning at 00.20 WIB.

The departure of the Garuda Nusantara Squad is the agenda of the 2025 U-20 Asian Cup. Indonesia U-20 departed four days before the inaugural match of the Group C phase against Iran U-20 at the Shenzhen Youth Football Training Center Stadium, China, February 13, 2025, at 19.30 WIB.

"(Departing for China) February 9, 2025 in the morning at 00.20 WIB," said Indra Sjafri while leading the team's training at the Madya Stadium, Jakarta, on Wednesday, February 5, 2025.

During the training session, 23 names of players will be brought to China. All are in good shape and have undergone joint training on Monday, February 3, 2025.

Indonesia is in Group C of the U-20 Asian Cup. Apart from being with Iran, Indonesia is also in the same group as defending champions Uzbekistan U-20 and a team that was met in the qualifying round, namely Yemen U-20.

In this tournament, Indra Sjafri carries a big target, which is to bring Indonesia through to the 2025 U-20 World Cup in Chile. To be able to exist in that phase, the U-20 Indonesian national team must penetrate the 2025 U-20 Asian Cup semifinals.
