JAKARTA - Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen said he planned to take legal action against Turkish journalist Posta, Bozduman Tollga, after last week's argument, which led to allegations of physical assault.
Bozduman accused the Galatasaray striker of attacking him after the club drew 3-3 against Dinamo Kyiv in the Champions League.
The Posta journalist claims he was taking pictures with another journalist when the 26-year-old became angry and beat him outside a nightclub.
"Once the flash came on, he started screaming and running towards me. He tried to take my camera."
"However, I held it. Then he hit my head. The right side of my head still hurts," Bozduman said in a Turkish publication Posta describing the fight.
Osimhen is also suspected of offering journalists some money to delete the photos. When his offer was rejected, he allegedly issued a threat.
"If these photos are released, I will destroy you," said Bozduman imitating Osimhen's words.

However, Osimhen denied the allegations. He said the incident took place in front of a restaurant where he and several of his friends, including fellow Nigerian international Kenneth Omeruo, went to eat.
"I've never been to a nightclub. My friends and I went to an African restaurant for dinner."
"We're done and out to see my friend's new car. I'm back to get into my van."
"These people (journalists) suddenly appeared out of nowhere and pointed the camera at my face. I was shocked."
"I asked them what the problem was, why did you point the camera at my face?"
"They said they wereuhanzi. (I said) Okay, what do you want? They didn't say anything, just pointed the camera at my face."
"Then, my friends went to them and said you can't do that. If you are professional, you have to come if you want to ask for an interview," Osimhen told Turkish journalist Enes Cevahirci.
The Nigerian footballer denied hitting the journalist. He said he only asked the journalist to delete the photos.
"I never punch this guy. I never hit him. I went to him and told him you had to delete the photo, you had to delete it. That's my photo, I have the right to tell him to delete it," said Osimhen.
Another Nigerian footballer, Omeruo, who was also present during the fight, backed Osimhen's version of the incident.
"Of course he didn't touch it. I was there," said Omeruo.
Osimhen, who has so far scored 16 goals with five assists for Galatasaray and is one of the most wanted attackers, hinted that he would take legal action on the allegations.
"I'm not new to this kind of thing. I know they will lie and lie and lie."
"This is a case of violence and he lied. But, of course, it won't be easy."
"I don't need to scream, but I will take the necessary steps to make sure."
"If I hit him, he will get justice. If he lies, then he will face legal punishment," Osimhen said again.
