Indonesia Women's Open 2025 Followed By 120 Golfers

JAKARTA The prestigious Indonesia Women's Open (IWO) 2025 golf event will be attended by 120 golfers throughout Asia Pacific with a total prize provided of IDR 4.87 billion.

The tournament will take place on January 24-26, 2025 at Damai Indah Golf Bumi Serpong Damai, Tangerang, Banten. Indonesia as the host also fielded its representatives in this event.

One of Indonesia's representatives who was confirmed to take part was Kristina Natalia Yoko. This golfer just got a professional status last month and is ready to give his best.

"Joining in front of Indonesian audiences gave me great encouragement and enthusiasm. I want to present the best results," said Yoko, Indonesia's number one golfer when he was still an amateur.

Yoko is included in the 24 names on the list of Indonesian representatives who play in this event. The details, consisting of 14 golfers with professional status and the rest have the status of amateur golfers.

They will compete with a number of famous names, such as Eri Okayama (Japan), Jaravee Boonchant (Thailand), and Total Ardina (Philippines). The three names are recorded to have high world rankings compared to other participants.

In addition, there are also Yebeen Sohn (South Korea) and Gabriella Then (United States). Both names also deserve to be taken into account in the tournament organized by the Asian Golf Leaders Forum (AGLF).

Gabriella admitted that it was so fun to be part of the first Indonesia Women's Open. This is also the second time he has returned to Jakarta after last year.

"It feels like everything is progressing. This city is becoming more modern and beautiful. I think it's great to be an ambassador for something and show women's golf at a high level," he said.

The Indonesia Women's Open is Indonesia's first women's tournament which has a point weight for Women's World Ranking. This event also opens the Asian Dream series which will continue to the Philippines.

The Indonesia Women's Open 2025 is a co-sonction between the Indonesian Golf Association (PGI) and the Korean Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA). This is the opening tournament of the Asia Pacific Circuit (APAC Circuit) Series Tour 2025.

APAC Circuit is a series of golf tournaments created to develop women's golf in the Asia Pacific region, replacing Women's Asia Circuit and the Women Asia Golf Tour (LAGT) which have stopped.

The purpose of the APAC Circuit is to build and promote events supported by AGLF member associations and contribute to improving player performance and providing opportunities for players in the Asia Pacific region.

"The Asia Pacific Circuit will develop into a supporting tool for potential talents in the Asia Pacific region, such as Korea, Japan, Thailand, China Taipei, China, and the Philippines, in collaboration with AGLF member companies and related organizations," said AGLF Secretary General Paul Park.

AGLF in collaboration with KLPGA will hold a series of events in 2025 in the APAC Circuit Series Tour.

The APAC Circuit calendar, which will be attended by elite golfers from the Dream Tour KLPGA, has an agenda for two tournaments outside South Korea. One of them is in Indonesia through the Indonesia Women's Open.
