Health Protocol Ahead Of Menpora Cup Final Is Still Maintained, Menpora Amali Optimistic That League 1 And League 2 Permits Are Held

JAKARTA - Youth and Sports Minister Zainudin Amali watched the 2021 Menpora Cup semifinal match between Persija Jakarta and PSM Makassar at Manahan Stadium, Solo, Sunday, April 18.

In addition to seeing football, Menpora Amali also checked the implementation of health protocols in this tournament.

Menpora Amali appreciated PSSI for implementing strict health protocols in the competition for the prestigious football trophy between Indonesian clubs. He hopes that Prokes discipline can continue until the Menpora Cup final is over.

"The smoothness and strictness of this health protocol must be maintained until the final round. We are sure that this can be done by PSSI which is very extraordinary in organizing this tournament," said the Menpora.

To note, the arrival of the Menpora was greeted directly by the Chairman of PSSI Mochamad Iriawan who was accompanied by Deputy Chairman Iwan Budianto, members of Exco Haruna Soemitro, Acting Secretary General Yunus Nusi, Wasekjen Maaike Ira Puspita, President Director of LIB Akhmad Hadian Lukita, and Director of Operations Sudjarno. In addition, the Mayor of Surakarta, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, was also present to watch the match.

Due to the success of implementing the health protocol until the semifinals, Menpora Amali is optimistic that the implementation of Liga 1 and Liga 2 can be rolled out after the permit is issued.

"With this we are also optimistic that the license for League 1 and 2 in 2021 will be issued by the police. We will certainly provide recommendations so that Leagues 1 and 2 in 2021 can roll," said Menpora Amali excitedly.

Meanwhile, the General Chairperson of PSSI, Mochamad Iriawan, thanked Menpora Amali who had come to Manahan Stadium to continue to see and check the health protocol for the 2021 Menpora Cup match.

"Alhamdulillah, until now the Menpora Cup match has been running smoothly, has been successful and the health protocol is carried out properly. This is PSSI's commitment so that later we can roll out the League 1 and 2 competitions in 2021," said Iriawan.

Iriawan hopes that the recommendation for League 1 and 2 permits can be obtained immediately by PSSI. PSSI also thanked all spectators or supporters for not being present at the stadium and supporting them in unique ways from home.

"Hopefully the match will run smoothly and the health protocol will last until the final match," hoped the man who is familiarly called Iwan Bule.

For information, the Menpora Cup match will continue on Monday, April 19, presenting a match between Persib and PS Sleman in the same place.

Meanwhile, the Menpora Cup final match will take place on April 22 and 25, 2021.
