Amad Diallo has signed a new contract at Manchester United until 2030.

The deal made the Ivory Coast winger committed to his long future at Old Trafford after appearing as a key player under Ruben Amorim's tutelage.

Amad has scored six goals in 28 appearances this season, including an equalizer in a 2-2 draw against Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday, January 5, 2025, and a winning goal against Manchester City in December 2024.

His contract expires at the end of the season even though United have the option to extend it for 12 months.

"I am very proud to have signed this new contract. I have had some extraordinary moments with this club, but many more will come."

"I have big ambitions in this game. I want to achieve history at Manchester United," said Amad.

The 22-year-old further revealed that he believes Manchester United's difficult times will end soon.

"It's been a difficult season for everyone, but I completely believe that we are on the right track and the future will be very special."

"I am ready to give everything to help the team and make our supporters proud again," said Diallo again.

The announcement comes amid a strong lead with three goals in their last six Premier League games despite Amad Diallo having had a slow start to his career at Manchester United.

He was brought in with a 37 million deal from Atalanta in 2020 and then loaned it to Rangers and Sunderland.

He performed brilliantly in Sunderland, scoring 14 goals in 42 games during the 2022/2023 season.

Amad Diallo won the award for the best young player Sunderland and the award for best player PFA Championship fans.

Seeing his mature performance, Diallo was sent back to Old Trafford in mid-2023.

During last season, he did not really get the trust of Erik ten Hag. However, now he has proven the feasibility of being an important player of the Red Devils.

Meanwhile, Manchester United is currently ranked 13th in the Premier League standings and is in five games without a win.

Nearby, Manchester United will face tough opponents, Arsenal, in the FA Cup Third Round at the Emirates, Sunday, January 12, 2025, western Indonesia time.
