Valentino Rossi Is On Marc Marquez's Best Driver List

JAKARTA The Italian MotoGP legend, Valentino Rossi, is one of the five names considered the best racer by Marc Marquez.

Marquez, who is widely considered one of the most successful riders in history, refused to include his name in this list.

"I will never get myself on this list," Marquez was quoted as saying by Gazzetta after appearing on a podcast in Spain.

The decision not to include his name on the list is indeed very surprising. The reason is, he appeared on the list of most observers as one of the greatest ever.

In fact, there is Rossi's name on the list even though the two of them have often clashed. However, Rossi's greatness above the track must be admitted.

"I will say Giacomo Agostini, Angel Nieto, Mick Doohan, Jorge Lorenzo, and Valentino Rossi," said Marquez, who has won the MotoGP world six times.

Giacomo Agostini has 15 world titles overall in all classes, including eight titles in the first class. That's still the most ever.

Rossi is trailing in second place with seven MotoGP world titles. Both names outperform Marquez, who has six titles in the first class.

In the next position, Nieto won 13 titles, which is the most for Spaniards. This name proves itself to be the king in the smaller category.

Furthermore, Doohan from Australia won five titles in the top class. That number is clearly one title less than that collected by Marquez.

Then Jorge Lorenzo, who was last listed three times as MotoGP world champion. His celebration in the most prestigious race slowly began to collapse when Marquez was present.
