JAKARTA The Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI) has officially opened an invitation to select technical trainers to protect the five available sectors.
The selection invitation is open to candidates both from within and outside the country.
The coaches who are currently in the Cipayung PBSI National Training Center (Pelatnas) are also welcome to take part in this open selection.
The Secretary-General of PBSI, Ricky Soebagdja, said that this recruitment is a crucial agenda for new administrators because it relates to the end of the current coach's work contract and the preparation of next year's tournament.
"Incidentally, the contracts of the coaches which will now be completed at the end of December 2024. Meanwhile, on January 7, 2025, the Malaysia Open 2025 has started," he said in a statement received.
"Therefore, we carry out an open selection involving independent management consultants. Later, the performance targets along with the rights and obligations of each party will be stated in a professional contract," he said again.

This selection also has a long-term goal due to the coach's strategic role in galvanizing, designing competition roadmaps, and building athletes' strategies.
Head of PBSI's Achievement Development Division, Eng Hian, said that this selection aims to encourage transparency and open up the possibility of getting a coach who may not have been connected to the federation so far.
"The challenges ahead are getting tougher. Competition is getting tougher. Therefore, we need a coach who gets from a good process from the start and a transparent contract," he said.
Eng Hian also said that it is a necessity regarding the possibility of joining coaches from abroad. The reason is, badminton has now become a global sport.
"It doesn't mean we lack the talent of coaches from within the country, but we must have an open mindset. Who knows we have the best coach," he said.
The open selection of the PBSI Pelatnas technical trainer will begin on December 3, 2024 and is targeted for completion on December 17, 2024.
The candidates will pass the administrative selection, interviews, and assessment stages by independent consultants.
