PSM Makassar Most Contribute Players To The Indonesian National Team For The 2024 AFF Cup

JAKARTA - The Indonesian national team will compete in the 2024 AFF Cup in December 2025. A total of 33 players have been called by Shin Tae-yong to undergo a training camp (TC).

Of Shin Tae-yong's total selected players, PSM Makassar is the club that contributes the most.

After releasing 33 names, the Indonesian national team will first undergo a training camp (TC) in Bali on November 27, 2024. The players appointed by Shin Tae-yong this time are quite diverse, ranging from Indonesian U-20 national team players to 2024 U-23 Asian Cup alumni.

For this agenda, Shin Tae-yong had previously said that he would indeed rely on the U-22 team.

The goal, as explained by the General Chairperson (Ketum) of PSSI, Erick Thohir, is to hone the squad to appear at the 2025 SEA Games.

PSM Makassar players are the most on the Indonesian national team's call list this time. It is known that there are four Juku Eja players who are on the Shin Tae-yong list.

The four players are Sulthan Zaky, Dzaky Asraf, Victor Dethan, and Ananda Raehan.

The crowd of Juku Eja players in the squad could not be separated from coach Bernardo Tavares who successfully brought many players from the academy to the first team.

In fact, the names of the four players have recorded quite a lot of playing minutes in Liga 1 2024/2025. This is a crucial capital for them to compete and penetrate the final squad in the Indonesian national team.

Following PSM Makassar, Persija Jakarta also did not want to lose. The Kemayoran Tigers sent three names, namely Dony Tri Pamungkas, Rayhan Hannan, and Muhammad Ferarri.

The background of the three Persija players is also not kidding. Dony Tri Pamungkas is recorded as holding the armband of the U-20 Indonesian national team captain. Rayhan Hannan and Muhammad Ferarri who are alumni of Indonesia U-23 in the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup.
