China Masters 2024: Dejan/Gloria Belum Ternodai

Mixed doubles Dejan Ferdinansyah/Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja to the quarter-finals of the 2024 China Masters (doc. PBSI).

JAKARTA - Dejan Ferdinansyah/Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja have not tarnished the defeat of a set after locking up the latest victory in the second round of the 2024 China Masters.

The sixth seed reached the quarter-finals thanks to a straight 21-15 and 21-11 win over Danish representatives, Jesper Toft/Amalie Magelund, on Thursday, November 21, 2024, afternoon WIB.

Dejan said he was satisfied because their game was in accordance with plan and strategy. In addition, he considered Gloria to have played a big role in this victory.

"Gloria played a very big role in the game earlier. I can say Gloria is a Man of the Match," said Dejan in a statement received from PBSI Public Relations.

Previously in the first round match yesterday, Dejan/Gloria also impressed. They won two straight games over the host's representative, Yang Jia Yi/Yang Jia Yi.

This means that the couple who have locked the ticket to the 2024 BWF World Tour Finals has not missed a set in this Super 750 BWF level tournament.

In the quarter-finals later, Dejan/Gloria will meet Tang Chun Man/Tse Ying. Currently, Indonesia's representative has a 3-1 win-loss record over the Hong Kong representative.

"We have a record meeting ahead, but we have to be better prepared. Don't be careless, let alone be too relaxed," said Dejan.

Indonesia has so far secured three tickets to the quarter-finals of China Maters 2024. Two other tickets were won by Jonatan Christie and Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Mohammad Reza Pahlevi Isfahani.
