Four Youth Lifters Start To Be Tempted

Four teenage lifters were summoned to Pelatnas Kwini to prepare for the 2025 Asian Youth Games and Youth Olympic Games 2026 (doc. PB PABSI).

JAKARTA Four teenage weightlifters have passed the selection to enter the national training camp (pelatnas). They will be forged for the 2025 Asian Youth Games and the 2026 Youth Olympic Games.

Secretary General of PB PABSI, Djoko Pramono, said that the four lifters who joined the Kwini National Training Center were selected through a selection held by the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora).

"We actually proposed 10 lifters. However, after the selection was carried out, the Ministry of Youth and Sports only approved five lifters and one lifter failed to participate in the selection because he was late when he was summoned," said Djoko.

The four lifters who were called were Alvin Saputra (East Java) in the 49 kg class, Leonard Manuel Aipassa S (Papua) in the 55 kg class, Muhammad Rizal Abdillah (West Java) in the 55 kg class, and Muhammad Angga (Banten) in the 73 kg class.

While at Pelantitas Kwini they will be forged by coach Mudjinato (South Kalimantan) and Mausar (Aceh) as well as other support teams dr. Sophie (doctor), Raka (masseur), and Ir. Hadi Wihardja OLY (performance analysis).

After facing the two events mentioned above, these lifters will be trained, trained, trained systematically, and sustainable to become outstanding athletes to replace their seniors.

"They will be a coating for senior lifters who are residents of the current national exercise formulation," said Djoko.

Getting the opportunity to qualify for the Kwini National Training Center was welcomed by Muhammad Angga. The lifter from Banten is even determined to follow in the footsteps of his senior, Rizki Juniansyah.

"Alahamdullilah, after undergoing the selection I qualified for the national training. I have to focus on training at the national training so that my achievements will increase," he said.

Weightlifting is a priority sport that will be Indonesia's mainstay on important stages in the future.

The success of this sport in winning the gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics has made Indonesia have high hopes for an increase in achievements in the next four years.
