Megawati Absent, Red Economy Falls

JAKARTA Redmen suffered a fourth consecutive defeat during the Indonesian volleyball player, Megawati Hanggetri Pertiwi, missing their latest match against Pink Spiders.

In the match which took place at the Chungmu Gymnasium, Wednesday, November 20, 2024, afternoon Indonesian time, Redmen lost with a landslide score of 0-3 (16-25, 21-25, and 22-25).

Megawati was sidelined from this match due to injury. According to reports, the volleyball player from Jember Regency, East Java, could not play because he suffered an injury to his thigh muscles.

Despite playing without Megawati, Redprinese actually had time to outperform their opponents at the start of the first set. However, Pink Spider, who is the leader of the standings, is now able to take the lead long after.

Redmen also performed well and put up fierce resistance throughout the second set. Vanja Bukilic's desperately struggle and colleagues made them give up narrowly with four points apart.

A tight number of points also occurred in the third set. Redmen took the lead several times and almost forced the game to continue into the fourth set. However, unfortunately in the final points they piled up.

Overall, this is the fifth defeat of a total of eight matches that Ko Hee-jin's team have played in South Korea's highest women's volleyball league.

The minus resulting sequence makes Red Total now sitting in fourth place in the standings. They have collected 10 points so far or 13 points adrift of Pink Spiders in the top position.
