UFC Results 309: Overthrow Stipe Miocic, Jon Jones Defends UFC Heavyweight Title

JAKARTA - Jon Jones, an MMA fighter from the US, defended the UFC heavyweight belt after defeating fellow US fighter Stipe Miocic. Jones is indeed the 3rd round of TKO in the UFC 309 performance at Madison Square Garden, New York, USA, Saturday night November 16, 2024 or Sunday morning in Indonesia.

Jones paralyzed Miocic with a rotating kick, then continued the hitting. The former UFC heavyweight champion was unable to put up any more resistance, so referee Herb Dean had to stop the duel in the 3rd round.

This is Jones' first success in defending the title, which he fought for by defeating French fighter Ciryl Gane in March 2023. Jones was previously UFC lightweight title holder.

Jones is currently 37 years old with a record 28-1-1 no contest, while Miocic, 41, suffered his fifth defeat to 25 fights.

Jones is the legendary UFC fighter. He was the youngest UFC champion in 2011, when he won a lightweight heavyweight title beating Brazilian fighter Muricio Shogun Rua. At that time Jones was only 23 years old.
