In the event, there will be two divisions that will be competed, namely the male and female divisions. This sport was previously first competed in the 2019 Philippines SEA Games.

Two editions after that, respectively at the 2022 Vietnam SEA Games and 2023 Cambodian SEA Games, Mobile Legends were also competed.

The announcement was confirmed by the Manager of the Indonesian Esports National Team, Richard Permana.

"It's time for MLBB Indonesia Gold later in Thailand," said Richard as quoted by Antara.

The Indonesian Esports national team for the Mobile Legends number won silver at the Philippines SEA Games and Vietnam's SEA Games.

So far only the Indonesian women's number has won gold for the first time, namely at the Cambodian SEA Games. Unfortunately, this success was not followed by the men's team.
