Guardiola Rejects Issues Of Being UK Manager After The Contract At Manchester City Is Completed

JAKARTA - The English Football Federation (FA) is under pressure to immediately find a manager to stay dead Gareth Southgate.

So far, the new FA has entrusted interim coach Lee Carsley to handle the Three Lions in the next few UEFA Nations League matches.

Some names stick out as candidates, from Thomas Tuchel, Eddie Howe, Graham Potter, to Pep Guardiola.

Guardiola is the front candidate for Jude Bellingham and colleagues. Moreover, his contract with Manchester City expires at the end of this season.

The Spaniard has yet to determine his future. He had intended to end the adventure at the Etihad.

However, when confirmed regarding the offer to coach the England national team, Guardiola refused.

"I'm not going to talk about this subject. What will happen will happen. (Menguy City?) That's not true, in the sense I have to think about it."

"(England?) No, that's not true. If I had decided something, I would say it. Everything is possible," Guardiola said on Italian TV.

Guardiola's profile is best suited to replace Southgate. He is a successful coach wherever he is, be it at Barcelona, Bayern Munich, or Manchester City.

Given the pressure in the England national team as well as the mission to get another major tournament trophy since the last time at the 1966 World Cup, Guardiola became the right figure.
