Dozens Of Red-White Athletes Join Asian Taekwondo Open Championship In Indonesia

JAKARTA - The 2024 Asian Taekwondo Open Championship is again held. For this year, the Asian Taekwondo event was held in Indonesia by presenting dozens of athletes from 22 countries.

Chief Executive of KASAD 6th Asian Taekwondo Open Championship 2024, Major General Amrin, said this prestigious Asian event will begin on October 15-19 2024.

"The event titled KASAD 6th Asian Taekwondo Open Championship 2024 will be held 15-19 October 2024 and Indonesia will be held for the first time," said Amrin at the Hotel Episode Tangerang, Monday, October 14, 2024.

Amrin said in the tournament he would compete in dozens of matches divided into two classes.

"Turnamen ada 16 kelas kyorugi (8 putra dan 8 putri) dan 9 kelas poolmsae," katanya.

According to Amrin, there are 28 Indonesian athletes competing who will fight national training players from other countries. In addition, in this event, three Olympic athletes participated.

"Three athletes from Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, and Timor Leste are Olympic athletes who enter this tournament. If Indonesia, field 28 athletes from kyorugi and poolmsae, by targeting to get as many medals as possible," he said.

For information, the Asian Taekwondo Championship will be held at the Indoor Stadium Indomilk Sport Center, Tangerang, Banten, on October 15-19 2024. The Executive Board of Taekwondo Indonesia (PB TI) carries the theme Unity in Diversion.
