Macau Open 2024: Dejan/Gloria, Indonesia's First Deputy Key To Final Tickets

JAKARTA - Dejan Ferdiansyah/Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja became the first Indonesian representative to lock the ticket to the 2024 Macau Open final on Saturday, September 28, 2024.

Dejan/Gloria beat Malaysian mixed doubles, Hoo Pang Ron/Cheng Su Yin, in a rubber game with a score of 21-15, 17-21, and 21-14.

The Indonesian mixed doubles, the only one at the Macau Open 2024, had difficulty at the start of the first set.

They fell behind until they finally equalized 8-8 before winning in the 11-8 interval.

After the break, Dejan/Gloria were unstoppable. They left Hoo/Chen with a difference of seven points at 17-10.

Dejan/Gloria reached game point when the opponent had only packed 14 points. In the second try they were finally able to lock the first set of 21-15 wins.

On the other hand, in the second set Dejan/Gloria had a 5-2 lead. However, Hoo/Chen got up by identifying the number 6-6.

The Malaysian mixed doubles then stopped the acquisition of Dejan/Gloria numbers until the interval with a score of 11-6.

After resting, Hoo/Cheng drove fast with a difference of four points, 15-11. They could no longer be overtaken until they won the second set, 21-17.
