Hong Kong Open 2024: Two Indonesian Representatives Secure Final Tickets

JAKARTA - Two Indonesian representatives have secured tickets for the final of the Hong Kong Open 2024 through the men's doubles Sabar Karyaman/Mohammad Reza Pahlevi Isfahani and the women's singles Kusuma Wardani.

Sabar/Reza menjadi wakil Merah-Putih pertama yang mengamankan partai puncak Hong Kong Open 2024.

They overthrow their colleague, Leo Rolly Carnando/Bagas Maulana, two straight games with a score of 21-13 and 21-17 at Hong Kong Coliseum, Saturday, September 14, 2024.

Patience/Reza have been waiting for the South Korean doubles as well as the third seed in the tournament, Kang Min-hyuk/Seo Seung-jae, in the final.

The victory made Leo/Bagas' impressive appearance stop. In two tournaments before the 2024 Hong Kong Open, the new pair successfully stepped into the semifinals, namely at the Japan Open and the 2024 Korea Open.

In fact, Leo/Bagas managed to become champions at the Korea Open 2024 since being reshuffled by a couple last month.

Putri KW will meet the winner between Pornpawee Chochuwong (Thailand) vs Han Yue (China) in the final of the Hong Kong Open 2024.

Indonesia still has the possibility of adding representatives in the final of the Hong Kong Open 2024. There are still Jonatan Christie and Anthony Sinisuka Ginting who fight in the semifinals.
