JAKARTA - The golfing pair Indonesia and Malaysia, Andree Harahap/Galven Green, won The Indonesia Pro-Am presented by Combiphar & Nomura 2024.
This tournament lasted for three days on September 11-13, 2024 at Mount Geulis Country Club, Bogor. This year is the second edition of the first and largest Pro-Am tournament in Indonesia to be held.
Andree/Galven began to have a great opportunity after completing the second round on Thursday, September 12, 2024. Neither wasted this opportunity by overtaking the duo Filip Lundell/Welly who led the team after 36 holes.
"Thank you to all sponsors. I, as a golf lover, am very happy with this event. I hope for more events like this so that it can improve Indonesia's golf achievements," said Andree.
Andree and Galven managed to outperform Lundell and Welly by one hit. They scored 59 in the final round to collect a total score of 183 (30-under).
Meanwhile, Lundell and Welly had to settle for second place with 184 (29-under). The couple share a place with Matthew Cheung (HKO)/Kuh Galih Jatiaji (Am.) who also poked into second place.

This success makes Andree/Galven entitled to a check of 5,500 US dollars (Rp84.5 million) out of a total of 25 thousand US dollars (Rp384.1 million) provided for the team at the top 10 final standings.
This Pro-Am category plays the best ball format. This format turns out to provide new attraction and experience for amateur golfers.
This year, the tournament successfully presented 100 pro golfers and 100 amateurs. They all played for two days to get the top 20 position for the team category.
A total of 20 of the best Pro-Am teams fought on the last day, Friday, September 13, 2024, to get a total prize of 25 thousand US dollars for the top 10 team at best.
Combiphar's President Director, Michael Wanandi, said that this year's big interest shows that the goal of The Indonesia Pro-Am presented by Combiphar & Nomura has been achieved.
"Animo this year is higher than last year. People already understand the concept of this tournament. I am optimistic that our amateurs can learn more from their pro partners," he said.
Meanwhile, from the individual number The Indonesia Pro-Am presented by Combiphar & Nomura 2024, the title was brought home by Thai golfer Tanapat Pichaikool.
The 24-year-old golfer actually started the second round with a 10-under and trailed by one blow from two leaders, Filip Lundell (Sweden) and Lion Park (South Korea).
However, thanks to 10 birdsies which were cut by 1 bobbey in the final round, he managed to advance to first position after scoring 62 (9-under) and collecting a total score of 194 (19-under) in 54 holes.
"I woke up this morning with confidence, warming up before playing and everything was amazing," he said in winning the title.
This victory is Tanapat's best achievement, which has just assumed pro status in 2020. The previous best achievement at ADT this season is the 12th position in the Selangor Masters PNKS in June 2024.
Apart from Andree, Indonesia also got sweet results through Rory Hie who managed to break the top three. Although he did not become a champion like Kevin C Akbar last year, Rory managed to break Kevin's record low with a 10-under last year.
He scored a total of 13-unders in 54 holes after scoring 65 (6-under) in today's final round.
"Today's game looks like the first round, but today's putting is even better. During the three rounds, we played a total of 13-unders. We used to have 7-unders in the 2013s, but in the past we used to be at East Course (playing). Maybe this is the best on Mount Geulis for myself," said Rory.
