Thom Haye's Career Continues, Will Close To Almere City, Only Health Tests

JAKARTA - The Indonesian national team midfielder, Thom Haye will start a new page on his career in the Netherlands. Haye is said to be getting closer to the Eredivisie club, Almere City, and just have to undergo a medical test.

Previously, it was known that Thom Haye is currently still agent-free. So far, the midfielder nicknamed the Professor has only been training at AZ Alkmaar.

In the midst of the situation without a club, from July to August 2024 there were many rumors linking Haye to Eredivisie clubs and outside the Netherlands.

He is even said to have attracted interest from Turkish, Italian, Croatian (Dinamo Zagreb), to England. The player also had a desire to play outside the Netherlands.

After a series of gossips that did not come true, Dutch media, Voetbal International, said that Thom Haye would join Almere City.

"Thom Haye can start playing at Almere City in a short time. The 29-year-old midfielder is close to an agreement with the Eredivisie club. Insiders at the club confirmed it to Voetbal International," the Dutch media was quoted as saying on Friday, September 13, 2024.

Almere's offer called Voetbal International was more convincing for Haye. Previously, NAC Breda also had time to chase Haye, but the offer proposal was still not suitable.

"The medical examination is still a dividing between the two camps to work together," wrote Voetbal International about the relationship between Haye and Almere City.

Almere is currently in 17th place in the Eredivisie or second place from below. In the last four matches, Almere has only won one point in a single draw and three defeats.

Voetbal International wrote that if Haye really joined Almere, then the club nicknamed the Black Lapang would have an injection of strength.

Almere also had a relationship with the Indonesian national team player. Stefano Lilipaly once strengthened the club based at Yanmar Stadium in 2012/2014.
