Indonesia Arena Still Has To Look For The 2025 Gymnastics World Championship

JAKARTA The Indonesia Arena venue still has to be lit up so that it is ready to become an arena for the 53rd FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championships 2025.

The General Chair of the All-Indonesian Gymnastics Association (Persani), Ita Yuliati, confirmed this after visiting the Indonesia Arena with the advisor from the Asia Gymnastics Union (AGU), Serge M Van Poelvoorde, on Thursday, September 12, 2024.

"From the visit there were several notes that we needed to discuss with the PPKGBK (Bung Karno Complex Management Center) so that the Indonesia Arena can meet the requirements according to the FIG standard," said Ita as accepted in the statement.

This visit is a finalization of the determination of areas and rooms that will be used for the needs of this prestigious event.

In addition to the Indonesia Arena, the group also visited the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC). This place will later be used as a training hall for athletes.

"This is our third visit, but this time we were accompanied by Serge as an advisor who provided input to finalize preparations for the 2025 World Championships in Jakarta," said Ita.

Artistic Gymnastics World Championships Jakarta will take place on 19-25 August 2025. This prestigious sporting event will be attended by 1,000 delegates from 58 countries.

There are two disciplines that will be competed, namely Men's Artistic Gymnastics (MAG) and Women's Artistic Gymnastics (WAG).

In addition to aiming to become a successful host, Persani will also prepare Indonesian gymnasts so that they can get optimal results in this important event.
