Ryan Garcia Reluctant To Lift A Hat For Terrence Crawford

JAKARTA The boxer from the United States, Ryan Garcia, is reluctant to take his hat off or respect for boxer Terence Crawford, who is his compatriot.

Garcia said that many people were too offensive to Crawford even though in his career he had beaten opponents with the qualities above him.

"Terence Crawford has never really beaten anyone other than Errol Spence, (who) had a car accident," Garcia said as quoted by Boxing Scene.

Crawford, who is currently the fourth division world champion, has a sweet record in the boxing ring. Of the total 41 matches he has played, he has never lost a single.

Garcia said that Spence was the toughest opponent in Crawford's career. So any respect doesn't deserve to be accepted by the 36-year-old fighter.

"Call one person he defeated other than the famous Spence. Crawford is not like that. He's too exaggerated," said Garcia, who has a record (24-1, 20 KO).

Garcia, who is 26 years old, is currently from Victorville, California, is currently serving a one-year ban because his test results were positive for ostarine, aka performance-enhancing drugs.

The problem made his absolute win over Devin Haney in April 2024 canceled by the New York Athletics Commission. They changed the result of the match to a no-contest (no winners).

The above ban forced Garcia to wait until April 2025 to return to the ring.

Garcia's only defeat in his career came in April 2023 against tough fighter Gervonta "Tank" Davis. He then got up and beat Oscar Duarte Jurado in eight rounds on December 2, 2023.
