Kyle Walker Still Wants To Fight For A Place In The England National Team

JAKARTA - Kyle Walker was dropped from the England squad that will appear in the 2024/2025 UEFA Nations League.

Kyle Walker admits he has been very disappointed not to be part of the England national team since Gareth Southgate withdrew after Euro 2024 and was replaced by interim coach Lee Carsley.

"I am disappointed. You accept it and try to prove them wrong. With the new manager, you always expect some change. I am disappointed that representing your country has always been the most important thing," Walker said as reported by the BBC.

Although disappointed, Walker admitted that he could accept Carsley's decision. You see, the 34-year-old right-back has begun to be marginalized in Manchester City's first team.

After returning from Euro 2024, Pep Guardiola's name is rarely included in Pep Guardiola's squad list. The Spaniard prefers to play young Rico Lewis in Walker's position.
