China Taipei Open 2024: 3 Indonesian Representatives To Semifinals

Jesita Putri Miantoro/Febi Setianingrum qualified for the semifinals of the China Taipei Open 2024 (doc. PBSI).

JAKARTA The remaining three Indonesian representatives in the China Taipei Open 2024 tournament have won in the quarter-finals to advance to the semifinals.

The quarter-finals of the BWF Super 300 level event which took place at Taipei Arena were completed on Friday, September 6, 2024, WIB night.

The three representatives who remained in the tour were the women's doubles duo Jesita Putri Miantoro/Febi Setianingrum and Febriana Dwi Puji Kusuma/Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi as well as the women's singles Kusuma Wardani.

Of the three representatives, the Jesita/Febi pair who were present as the seventh seed in this event got tickets to the semifinals first compared to the other two.

They qualified after stopping the host's fourth seed, Chang Ching Hui/Yang Ching Tun, in the two straight games 21-19 and 21-18.

In the semifinals, Saturday, August 7, 2024, Jesita/Febi will meet the first seed Benyapa Aimsaard/Nuntakarn Aimsaard. The pair from Thailand went to the semifinals after defeating Australian representatives, Nozomi Shimizu/Gronya Somerville.

Indonesia's second ticket was then secured by Putri KW after winning over the host's first seed and former world number one, Tai Tzu Ying, with a score of 18-21, 21-16, and 24-22.

Next, Putri will meet Chiu Pin Chian. The host's representative reached the semifinals after stopping the fifth seed from Japan, Natik Nidaira.

The Ana/Tiwi pair qualified following their two colleagues by defeating Mizuki Orange/Miyu Takahashi's journey in a three-game match which ended with a score of 21-14, 19-21, and 21-9.

In the semifinals, the second seed Ana/Tiwi will meet with the third seed from Thailand, Laksika Kanlaha/Phataimas Muenwong, who sent Lui Lok Lok/Tsang Hiu Yan (Hong Kong) home.
