Herman El Zurdo, Daud Jordan's New Opponent

JAKARTA The Argentine fighter, Herman El Zurdo Carrezo, will certainly become a new opponent to be faced by Indonesian boxer Daud Jordan.

The two boxers will board the ring for the prestigious title IBA World Super Lightweight Championship at the Integrated Sports Hall ofkoni, Pontianak, Kalimantan, on September 7, 2024.

M Pro International as the promoter of the fight announced that Carrezo was Daud's latest opponent after the previous potential opponent, Juan Herman Lael, could not enter the ring.

"The Boxing Senator Daud Jordan will face Argentine boxer Herman El Zurdo Carrezo in the race for the prestigious title IBA," M Pro wrote on their Instagram.

According to the promoter's statement, Juan could not fight Daud Jordan because he experienced discomfort during the training session. He then underwent an emergency medical evaluation.

The results of the evaluation confirmed that the boxer suffered a brain injury. This problem made him not only canceled against Daud, but also had to end his career.

"The safety of our boxers is top priority. We are very concerned about Juan's condition. We pray for his rapid recovery," wrote M Pro.

The clash with Carrezo will be Daud's last duel before being officially inaugurated as DPD RI on October 1, 2024. This is also the first match after two years of vacuum.

He last got into the ring on July 2, 2022, against Thai boxer Panya Uthok. At that time, Daud won a technical knockout (TKO) in the sixth round.
