The Indonesian National Team Received An Injection Of IDR 80 Billion In Funds, The Fruit Of PSSI And Bank Mandiri Cooperation

The cooperation between PSSI and Bank Mandiri for funding the Indonesian national team at all levels (doc. PSSI).

JAKARTA - Good news came for the Indonesian national team, which now received an injection of funds of Rp. 80 billion. This was confirmed after the official collaboration between PSSI and Bank Mandiri as a three-year presentation partner.

PSSI is indeed passionate about attracting sponsor-giving companies. This is done in order to meet the needs of the Indonesian national team in various age groups so that funding does not only come from the Government.

Deputy Chairman of PSSI, Zainudin Amali, also guaranteed that Bank Mandiri would not lose money due to collaborating with PSSI.

The reason is, PSSI always ensures that there is a business basis in every partnership that is built with a sponsor-giving company.

"Sponsoring football will not harm anything because this is a business calculation. From what I heard, especially at Bank Mandiri, it has a size."

"At least once, we have to get seven benefits. That's what we really take care of," said Zainudin Amali at the signing ceremony for PSSI and Bank Mandiri cooperation at Plaza Mandiri, Jakarta, on Friday, August 23, 2024.

"PSSI always tries to give the best to partners and sponsors. Hopefully this will get better, Mandiri's profit will increase, and the FIFA ranking for the Indonesian national team will be better," he said.

In line with this, the President Director of Bank Mandiri, Darmawan Junaidi, also welcomed his cooperation with PSSI positively. According to him, this is Mandiri's commitment to supporting the progress of Indonesian football.

"This is a tangible manifestation of Bank Mandiri's commitment to support the progress of Indonesian football," said Darmawan Junaidi on the same occasion.

"We thank Mr. Erick Thohir and Mr. Zainudin Amali for the opportunity given to Bank Mandiri to participate in advancing football through our support for the Indonesian national team," he said again.

On this occasion, Bank Mandiri collaborated with PSSI in the form of funding for the Indonesian national team, both senior men's and women's and age groups.

The initial cooperation lasted three years, but the company will conduct an evaluation regarding this matter every year.

"The umbrella (of cooperation) is three years, but every year we will always evaluate the coverage, what can be used, and what will Mandiri do," said Darmawan.

"However, for the first stage, we will give 80 billion to PSSI which will be used for the Indonesian national team. All Indonesian national teams, starting from seniors, juniors, and children, all of them. That will be given later by Mandiri."

"Surely Mandiri has seen the benefits of Mandiri's existence in every match of the Indonesian national team. This will increase Bank Mandiri's branding," said Dermawan.
