Badminton Audition Schedule PB Djarum 2024

JAKARTA PB Djarum again held an audition this year to find talented badminton candidates.

This audition will take place on 10-14 September 2024 at GOR Djarum, Jati, Kudus, Central Java. There are several stages that participants must go through, starting from registration to quarantine.

The chairman of PB Djarum and the Djarum Foundation Sports Service Director Program, Yoppy Rosimin, said that this audition is not just a routine for badminton seeds.

"However, it is also a movement to maintain an achievement chain that can raise the glory of Indonesian badminton on the world stage," he said in an official statement from PB Djarum.

The online registrant for this audition has been open since June 1, 2024 and will only be closed on September 2, 2024. Furthermore, there is a re-registered stage that opens on September 9, 2024 from 09.00'15.00 WIB.

After the re-registration, participants are ready to undergo the selection process for five days on 10-14 September 2024 and continue quarantine from 15 September to 12 October 2024.

Head of the PB Djarum Public Audit Talent Search Team, Sigit Budiarto, said that this year's audition adopted a different scheme from previous years, including the grouping of participants' ages to the assessment system.

"The goal is of course with the change in this selection scheme, we really hope to find quality badminton seeds," he said.

The 2024 PB Djarum audition targets three age categories (KU), namely KU-11, KU-11 and KU-12. The age group is open to the male and female categories.

In Djarum's official statement, as of Sunday, August 4, 2024, the number of young badminton players who have registered for this audition amounted to 1,010 participants.

They come from various parts of Indonesia, such as Aceh, Bali, Bangka Belitung, East Kalimantan, North Sulawesi, East Nusa Tenggara, to Papua.

The most registrants came from Central Java with 452 athletes.
