Rp950 Million Of Money Belonging To The Indonesian Badminton Team Waslonged In Paris

JAKARTA The Indonesian badminton team received a disaster of losing 53 thousand euros or equivalent to Rp950 million in Paris.

The disaster was experienced by the manager of the 2024 Paris Olympics badminton team, Armand Darmadji, on Monday, August 5, 2024, yesterday at 17.30 local time. The workplace of the case was around the bus stop of Madeleine, Paris.

In addition to the amount of money, wallets and credit cards also disappeared. The money is a combination of several people in the badminton team, totaling 53 people.

"This is a combination of several people, we are recap because the next day the team will return home. We plan to meet the team at 19.00 p.m., but on the way it has been lost, a syndicate of theft has been taken," said Armand.

This pickpocketing was carried out by a syndicate with the mode of defusing car tires. According to the chronology of the incident, Armand was on his way when he learned of his colleague's defline car tires.

He immediately went down to check and immediately contacted the car rental to replace the deflined tire. Rental also asked the location and address where Armand's car was.

A foreign Armand in Paris City then asked the police behind the car to explain to Rental the position of his car at that time.

"When I returned, it turned out that the bag had disappeared. It contained passports, wallets, credit cards, and PBSI money. I have reported it to the police," said Armand.

Badminton at the 2024 Olympics sent as many as six representatives with nine athletes. However, the best achievement was only one bronze medal.
