Persija Jakarta Recruits Former Villarreal Player For Liga 1 2024/2025

Ramon Bueno Gonzalbo officially joins Persija Jakarta (doc Persija).

JAKARTA - Persija Jakarta has completed the final pieces of their foreign player slot for Liga 1 2024/2025. Former Villarreal player, Ramon Bueno Gonzalbo, became the last player the Kemayoran Tigers recruited.

Persija Jakarta agreed to use Ramon's services for the next season. The Spaniard is projected to fill the midfield and play defensive midfielder.

After officially announcing cooperation, Ramon Bueno is known to have been in Jakarta and preparing to embark on an adventure with the Kemayoran Tigers.

The player admitted that he was enthusiastic about becoming part of the Kemayoran Tigers and promised to give his best performance.

"I'm very happy to be joining Persija. I came to fight and win. I will give everything to make the club and supporters proud," Ramon Bueno was quoted as saying on the club's official website on Wednesday, July 17, 2024.

Ramon's presence was also welcomed by Persija Jakarta's new coach, Carlos Pena. He is optimistic that Ramon Bueno can contribute greatly to the Kemayoran Tigers.

"I knew he would come to give consistency to the team. Something we really need and I hope he can do well with us," said Carlos Pena.

Before finally making the choice to dock for Persija Jakarta, Ramon Bueno was in the uniform of SD Tarazona (2023-2024), Cordoba CF (2023), and CF Fuenlabrada (2023).

The Spaniard also wore Villarreal CF B (2016-2022), Villarreal CF C (2014-2016), and Villarr Juv A (2013-2014) uniforms.

Ramon's joining Persija complements the team's foreign charter quota for next season. Persija will only use six foreign players from a maximum quota of eight.

Apart from Ramon Bueno, five foreign players have been confirmed to be part of the team, namely Ondrej Kudela, Maciej Gajos, Marko Simic, Ryo Matsumura, and Gustavo Almeida.

After officially joining before the new season begins, it means that Ramon can start his work with Persija in the 2024 Presidential Cup pre-season event.

On that agenda, the Kemayoran Tigers joined in Group B with Madura United, Arema FC, and Bali United.

Persija will start their struggle in the 2024 Presidential Cup against Madura United. The match will be held at the Captain I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Gianyar, Sunday, July 21, 2024.
