PSSI Extends Shin Tae-yong's Contract

Shin Tae-yong officially remains in the Indonesian National Team (VOI/Ferry Tri Adi).

PSSI announced that the extension of the contract for the Indonesian national team coach, Shin Tae-yong, was final. The decision has been approved and mutually agreed between PSSI and the South Korean coach.

The decision was chosen because the federation saw Shin Tae-yong's dedication and commitment in supporting the development of Indonesian football.

"Coach Shin Tae-yong has brought the Indonesian national team to the Third Round of the 2026 World Cup Qualification in the Asian Zone and until the 2024 Paris Olympics playoffs. His performance has had a positive impact on Indonesian football," said Erick Thohir, Chairman of PSSI.

With Shin Tae-yong's contract extension, PSSI emphasized its determination to improve the quality and achievements of Indonesian football as a whole.

The collaboration between PSSI, Shin Tae-yong, and all other members of the Indonesian national team, such as players, officials, and other coaches is expected to bring brilliant achievements for Indonesia's football in the future.

However, PSSI did not reveal how long Shin Tae-yong would lead the Indonesian national team.
