Jakarta International Marathon 2024 Followed By 15 Thousand Participants, Acting Governor Heru Admits The Event Is A Success

JAKARTA - The Jakarta International Marathon will be held on Sunday, June 23 at noon. Being one of the peak series of Jakarta's 479th Anniversary, this event is considered successful.

This was revealed by the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono who was also present at the Jakarta International Marathon finish location at Gelora Bung Karno (GBK), Jakarta.

"This (Jakarta International Marathon) is a series of 499th anniversary of Jakarta which was attended by 15 thousand participants and was a success," Heru said after the event on Sunday, June 23.

The 15 thousand participants who participated in the event were divided into three categories, namely Marathon (42 km), Half Marathon (21 km) and 10 km. With the success of this international standard marathon, Heru also did not forget to thank those who supported the smooth running of the event.

"We express our gratitude to all ranks, including the Regional Police, the Regional Military Commander, the DKI Jakarta OPD Service, and the community because this activity can be sterile and safety," he added.

The success of the Jakarta International Marathon 2024 also brings motivation for a similar event in the following year. From the statement revealed by Heru, he also emphasized the quality for the event in the coming year.

"Hopefully this next year we can protect the quality together," he said.

Not only is it a series of events for Jakarta's 479th anniversary, but the agenda for the 2024 Jakarta International Marathon, Heru said, also has a big impact on promoting the City of Jakarta, as well as increasing the economic cycle of the community carried out by MSMEs around the location.

"We thank all parties involved. Because this event in addition to encouraging people to exercise regularly and maintain health also has an impact on economic turnover," said Heru.

Meanwhile, the President Director of PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BTN) Nixon LP Napitupulu who was also present and became a participant also said that the implementation of the Jakarta International Marathon 2024 was a success.
